Benefits Renewal

Removing the confusion from Benefits Renewal

Do you dread your annual benefit renewal?

Many business owners, CFOs and HR managers we speak to tell us the same thing: they hate the benefits renewal process. And we don’t blame them! Your job is to choose a health plan that doesn’t break your budget, while also making your employees happy, plus you have tons of health care reform regulations to contend with.

Worst of all, brokers traditionally present mountains of data to you in spreadsheet format, making the process overwhelming and more complex than necessary.

At AWS, our process offers a different approach to benefits planning. Instead of numbers and spreadsheets, we use a visual, dynamic presentation that helps you make an educated decision without the hassle.

What’s your benefits renewal process like?

If you’re like most employers, your benefits renewal looks something like this:

  1. Your broker brings in your plan options on a complicated spreadsheet that is hard to read, making it difficult to compare plans side-by-side.
  2. Everyone in the room is looking at different pages and not listening to the broker’s presentation.
  3. If you want to make tweaks to a plan, the broker needs to schedule another meeting and create another spreadsheet (often drawn out over several meetings).
  4. You talk about the “total” cost of the plan early on, but you don’t find out exactly how much you will pay until after you’ve selected a plan.

It doesn’t have to be that way. At AWS, we do things differently, making it easy for you to make a confident decision in less time. Instead of numbers and spreadsheets, we use a visual, dynamic presentation that helps you make an educated decision without the hassle.

Is ACA complicating your business?

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has wreaked havoc on many businesses, with added regulations that often lead to rising costs. How is your broker supporting you throughout this challenging time?

We use sophisticated tools to help you navigate ACA and find the best benefits plan for your company.

With our approach, we:

  • Work within your budget to help you explore all your options
  • Take employee impact into consideration to ensure a competitive plan
  • Compare all your options side-by-side to help you make the best decision
  • Take ACA implications into consideration to ensure you are in compliance

You CAN manage costs and keep employees happy

Health care costs are a huge drain on employers’ bottom lines today, so finding ways to cut costs have become a major focus in the group health insurance industry. However, employers also realize the importance of providing a competitive benefits plan to employees, so simply passing costs to them isn’t always the best choice. We’ve found that many brokers will reference employee premium costs, but fail to account for employee out-of-pocket costs – which doesn’t give you the full picture.

At AWS, we specialize in finding a health plan that is the perfect fit for your bottom line AND your employees. We’d be happy to conduct a simple cost analysis, to see if you’re leaving any money on the table with your current plan. Contact us today.
