Protecting Your Car on Halloween

Have you thought about protecting your car on Halloween? On average, cars are twice as likely to be vandalized on Halloween. An average of 1,253 claims made on Halloween! So, what can you do about this? Let’s go over the most common Halloween perils and what you can do about them.

Pumpkin Chuckin’
Throwing jack-o-lanterns haphazardly around is a favorite pastime of Halloween troublemakers. If a wayward pumpkin is to damage your car, then your AWS auto insurance policy is there to help! Comprehensive insurance coverage can’t stop the pumpkin from being chucked at your car, but it can get your car back to normal faster than a flying pumpkin.

Halloween Decorations Gone Rogue
Decorations can bring out the holiday spirit in all of us. Whether your Halloween decoration display is cute, spooky, eerie, or gory, it all helps your neighbors get in the spirit of Halloween! However, damage to vehicles from decorations is not uncommon. If an eerie wind begins to stir on Halloween night and sends decorations flying into your car, then your comprehensive auto insurance will be there to help you out!

Egging
Egging is a very famous and viral prank. Damage done to your car from the eggs may be covered by your comprehensive auto insurance policy. However, there is something you can do on your part that will help lessen the damage done to your car. As soon as you find the eggs, grab your hose and wash them off. You don’t want your car’s paint job ruined!
